Frankfurt-am-Main proves my first rule of long layovers: get out of the airport! Though it’s Germany’s international transit hub and consistently ranked one of Europe’s three busiest airports, I find FRA particularly user-unfriendly.
Fortunately, it’s easy to get out of the airport, and in under 15 minutes you really feel like you’re in Germany.
