Denver Opens Train to Airport, Passengers Save Money and Skip Traffic

Today Denver is celebrating Earth Day in a big way, opening a rail line between its airport and downtown.

Called the A Line, the light rail service connects Union Station, in the heart of Downtown Denver, and Denver International Airport (DIA, as locals call it), with stops en route. This is kind of a big deal since DIA is one of the farthest airports in the country from the city center: 25 miles (40 km).
