Trip Out: Sydney

The Opera House. The Harbour Bridge. Shirtless, buff men gyrating at Mardi Gras. It’s hard to say which best represents Sydney. You’ll even get some debate among locals.

One thing they know for sure is that this is a great city. It’s as if the best of the rest of the Pacific Rim has ended up here: beaches from Southern California, water views from the Pacific Northwest, the soaring skyline and ferries of Hong Kong and the adventurous cuisines of Southeast Asia. Add in a little London for good measure, and you’ve got a dream destination. Plus, the sun seems to shine here always, imparting a nonstop energy and sunny demeanor to its people.
