“We Fly 1st” is how the Japanese airline All Nippon Airways touts Boeing’s newest aircraft, the 787 Dreamliner. ANA has earned the bragging rights: after over three years of delays due to technical and manufacturing glitches, the plane finally made its inaugural flight between Tokyo and Hong Kong on October 26.
Japanese domestic flights began earlier this month, and I got to ride on board one of the first, from Tokyo’s Haneda Airport to the western city of Okayama.
