This past weekend’s dedication of the Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial makes Washington, DC an even greater walking town than it already was. The next time you’re in DC, the memorials around the western end of the National Mall (to World War II, Korean War and Vietnam War veterans, Dr. King and Abraham Lincoln) make an architecturally interesting ramble for a morning or afternoon. It might also touch your emotions in unexpected ways.
