And there was great rejoicing in the City of Angels, as officials announced yesterday that Los Angeles will host the 2028 Olympic Games.
The city’s mayor, Eric Garcetti, called it “a major step toward bringing the Games back to our city for the first time in a generation and [beginning] a new chapter in Los Angeles’s timeless Olympic story.” This will be the third time that L.A. has hosted the Olympics, after 1932 and 1984.
