Leave it to my hometown of Los Angeles to hype going nowhere into logistical equivalent of the OJ chase.
Starting late tonight through early Monday morning July 18, ”Carmageddon,” as it’s become known, will close about 10 miles of the San Diego Freeway (a.k.a. Interstate 405, or just ”the 405″ to locals) for demolition work on a bridge. “Yeah, so?” you think? Know that this is one of the busiest freeway stretches in the world, linking Interstate 10 (Santa Monica Freeway) with Highway 101 (Ventura Freeway) in the San Fernando Valley.
How far will the snarls radiate? Nobody knows.
And that’s the fun.
