Effective today, the U.S. Department of Transportation together with the Federal Aviation Administration has issued what they call “an emergency order” to completely ban all Samsung Galaxy Note 7 smartphones “on board air transportation to, from, or within the United States.”
This ban both rescinds and expands upon previous guidance that allowed the phones on board provided that they were completely shut down and not charged on board.
