Where to See Zaha Hadid’s Best Buildings

“I don’t design nice buildings,” said the architect Zaha Hadid, who died suddenly today at the age of 65. “I don’t like them. I like architecture to have some raw, vital, earthy quality.”

On that, and on her role as one of the world’s top architects, she was fearless and relentless, creating buildings in dozens of countries that shattered notions of what architecture could be, often called neofuturistic and noted for curved and irregular shapes rooted in nature and urban surroundings.
