It’s been a long time coming for Uber, Lyft and other ride share companies, but a change is gonna come to Los Angeles International Airport. The L.A. City Council this week approved the airport commission’s plan to allow ride share drivers to pick up passengers at LAX; previously they could only drop passengers off.
This change makes LAX the nation’s largest airport to allow full services by ride share companies. According to Airports Council International statistics, LAX served over 70.66 million passengers in 2014, making it America’s second busiest airport and the world’s fifth busiest.
