Why Canada’s New Music Hall of Fame Is Making History

When you think “Canada,” what comes to mind? For me, alongside visions of mountains, Mounties, and moose, I hear a soundtrack: Joni Mitchell and Arcade Fire, Alanis Morrissette and Neil Young, Shania Twain, Michael Bublé, k.d. Lang and, I’ll admit, Celine Dion and Justin Bieber. And yet, Canada has never had a place that salutes these artists altogether.
